A Year with Rev Fitness — commercial photography by Mike Arnold

Revolution Fitness · July 2026

Five events across the year for Revolution Fitness — Rev Games, Rev Battle and everything between. The brief each time: make sure every competitor comes away with a photo of themselves on every exercise, capture how the day felt, and give Rev a bank of social content to promote the gym and fill the next start line.

That brief sounds simple written down. On the day it means tracking 15 to 20 teams, most of them pairs, through a floor of wall balls, loaded barbells, assault bikes and a running clock — and knowing where every one of them is and where they're going next.

It's the least glamorous part of the job and the part that matters most. The pair finishing last trained just as hard as the pair on the podium, and they want the photo just as much.

It's also why the pictures look the way they do. I work at floor level, in among it, close enough to catch the grimace on a last rep and the teammate shouting over the top of it. By the third event most of the gym knew me by name, which does more for the photographs than any lens.

Alongside every competitor's set, Rev came away with a year of content for social, the website, and filling the next start line.
